Connecting and Running Soaker Hose Rings

A beneficial approach for fruit growers, putting water right where you need it - at the root level.
Cut a length of Soaker Hose and connect each end to a T joint (code GCBARBTEE). If you wish to join the ring to a standard hose pipe, do so by connecting a Ball Valve Tap (code GCBALL) via a small section of soaker hose (see photo).
By using a series of T connectors, Ball Valve Taps and other Soaker Hose accessories, “branchlines” can be created over a large area. Please be aware however that for very large areas, a pump

may be required to maximise flow of domestic water pressure or even a secondary main water supply.

Pressure Fed or Fast Leak

Soaker Hose from Aquarius Manufacturing Ltd is now available in Regular pressure fed for use from a tap and Fast Leak for use with Tanks and Water Butts. It is recommended that the water containers are placed at a height of between two and four feet off the ground dependent upon how much pressure is required. For a slower flow, place the tank nearer to the ground. The higher the tank, the greater the pressure of water going into the Soaker Hose but also remember higher the tank, more water will be used faster. Unroll Soaker Hose 24 hours prior to use as this will allow the micro-perforations to open up slightly after being tightly coiled.
